Considering Switch 1 is in its 9th year and probably like 2-3 months away from replacement, this was quite a decent showing.

It was nice to get a better look at Prime 4, Eternal Life of Goldman looks brilliant with its hand-drawn art and springy gameplay, and while they're not for me, it was cool to see Rhythm Heaven and Tomodachi Life returning, for those that remember them fondly.

The fact the latter are both slated for 2026 also shows Nintendo intend to keep Switch 1 owners supported post-replacement, which is nice as not everyone will be willing or able to upgrade right away.

That's pretty great for those who won't invest in the successor right away but ...

Mmm appart from Metroid Prime 4, what other 1st party titles are slated for 2025 ? None so far I believe.

Unless we get news next week of games during the Switch 2 presentation also having a Switch Edition ...

As siebensus says, there's Pokémon Legends Z-A as well, and possibly also Pokémon Champions, plus it's likely there's still minor 1st party stuff still to be announced for this year like the rumoured Kirby Planet Robobot remake.

We really can't expect too much first party content for the Switch 1 now that they need to support Switch 2; for the kind of players who are not upgrading right away, the stuff announced should be fine.
