The Chinese government quakes in their boots every time there's a slowdown in their economy. If they had an actual contraction in their economy, they'd be shitting themselves, because their 1.4 billion people aren't going to just sit and starve for 100 years while they make China great again, their 1.4 billion people are going to become ungovernable within weeks if they're forced to feel that kind of hardship.
