I think the most frustrating part though, is that many Republicans are celebrating a lot of this. 

A lot of them are going to get hurt in the short term and probably the long term even more.  

When Trump dies and there's nobody to carry the MAGA torch because it's a cult and nobody else has the same cult following as Trump, I predict we will see a lot of Republicans all of a sudden being like "I never liked Trump anyway!"

The impression I've been getting along the years is that there's probably a significant chunk of Republican politicians that don't really like Trump but play along because they see him as their chance as politicians - their only chance at the moment. I'm sure many such people are just waiting for the Trump era to be over. That said, there are surely many politicians that actually like Trump, so we'll see how things pan out.
