So far during this presidency, Republicans have:

1.) antagonized our allies (Denmark, Mexico, Canada)

2.) cozied up to our enemies

3.) working on dismantling much of our government including national parks, and Medicaid.

I think the most frustrating part though, is that many Republicans are celebrating a lot of this.

A lot of them are going to get hurt in the short term and probably the long term even more.

When Trump dies and there's nobody to carry the MAGA torch because it's a cult and nobody else has the same cult following as Trump, I predict we will see a lot of Republicans all of a sudden being like "I never liked Trump anyway!"

There was a lot of revisionist history in MAGA Land after Dubya left office. They canceled the Dixie Chicks because Natalie Maines insulted his war effort in England during a concert.

Speaking as an American who lived in the South, however, I want to emphasize that Trump is a symptom, not the disease. People there have held cultural grievances against the rest of the world for 200 years. They don’t actually care about the price of eggs. It’s more about taking revenge for the humiliation of Appomattox. It’s about anger at the entire world for the decades of liberalization that went on after WWII. They are like the Boers of South Africa writ large.

Keep in mind also that Musk grew up in apartheid South Africa, under the regime of P.W. Botha.
