It's funny that people call Musk a genius for stuff like SpaceX but nobody would say the same about Bezos if he succeeds with his space company. With Bezos everyone will just say he got the right people with the money he invested. With Musk people say he's the smart dude behind it even though he also just paid the right people to work for SpaceX with enough money.

You can't deny that Musk often invests at the right time in the right projects and people (he isn't the richest person for nothing) but that doesn't make him the genius behind the projects these companies work on.

He's a complicated guy like we all are.  On one hand, i deplore his involvement with MAGA and the upcoming Trump administration.  He has also criticized Ukraine's fight for survival.

On the other hand, Musk is very much a polymath and heavily versed in many subjects, which makes someone not only more creative but also good at many things.  He'd be a quite fun and interesting person even if he wasn't wealthy.

Musk has also had some family issues that i see on my news feed from time to time, and I hope that he's being good to them because it should be easy given his wealth.

He isn't versed in many subjects because 90% of what he's talking about is just wrong. He's heavily involved in many subjects but that doesn't mean he has a clue about all of that. Most of the time he just retweets any stupid shit especially about politics in different countries which is most of the time just wrong. His meeting with Alice Weidel from Germany's Nazi party as example was just one big fail with wrong information. But he and others who aren't from Germany will obviously tell you on X how awesome it was.

I mean, he got told from her that comparisons of her party with Hitler make no sense because Hitler was a communist and her party is the opposite and stupid stuff like that was their whole discussion. And what did Musk do? He's pushing them even more...

So sure, Musk loves to talk about 100 different topics but not sure how it's fun to talk with him about it when he's completely clueless about most of them. At least if you want to know the truth about the topics and not just bullshit talking just for the sake of it.

Like I said, he has his strengths in a few topics which are very helpful to succeed financially (with investing at the right time in the right companies and people) but that's it pretty much about how much he understands about so many things.
