I love those films. And I also like the darker tone/dark comedy of the 1990s superhero/comic films that followed (Darkman, Spawn, Blade, TMNT, The Crow), although, I generally begin the trend with Robocop by Paul Verhoeven.
I love this scene too, good music choice, Rick James and Siouxsie and the Banshees.
