The first one was good, Returns is alright too but got a bit silly by the end (Penguin army with no people on the streets).
If you weren't around in 1989 you kinda missed out because Batman (1989) was such a massive, massive event, I don't think I've seen a movie where its presence was almost everywhere, everyone was wearing Batman t-shirts and the logo was everywhere, comic book stores saw a massive boom in sales, the Prince song was being played frequently on radio/MTV, the toys were sold out, etc. etc.
