It's a really naive post by shavenferret. While it's true that respect and admiration mean a lot to Trump, he has never cared about it being honest respect and honest admiration; he is more than content with sycophants.

So what would be Trump's next step if people say mean things about him? He will threaten social media and news media to report favorably on him, because that's what he has already done and wants more of.
