Helldivers has a little of that but their current popularity lands in the action, if they want to make it a satire that's ok but the main focus has to be make something fun and crazy to watch, like old 90s movie kind of fun. I can just very easily see the sentiment being, "Why? Why does a Starship Troopers knockoff need a movie when the move it aped already exists?" If they do it right it could stand on its own (maybe crank up the dark comedy) or simply serve as a long awaited spiritual successor, but I could also much easier see it being superfluous. Anyway, I had not heard those cast details about the Tsushima anime. Much more excited for that. |
I mean it's age alone warrants a modern iteration, there's a whole generation who have for the most part not been exposed to it
