I saw this idea somewhere, I don't know if it was here or another site, but what they absolutely should do, but probably won't because it'd be so freaking expensive:
The Super Bowl is right around the corner - Well over 100 million people watch that game. There would be NO BETTER time and opportunity to reveal their next console to the whole world then in their own Super Bowl Ad during the game. A 2-3 minute ad - Probably closer to 2 minutes because, Holy Shit, do those Super Bowl ads cost a fortune in marketing. But THAT'S where you do the reveal trailer announcing that Switch 2 is on the way with a release window (Q3-Q4 2025) and you show glimpses of the games coming out for it (Metroid Prime 4, next 3D Mario, next Mario Kart, some high-profile Third-Party games that weren't on the Switch like GTA or COD).
Then, as the entire world is buzzing and hyped up over the reveal, you announce on all your social sites (Twitter, Facebook, etc) that you're hosting a Switch 2 presentation coming up in June with all the details coming there including launch lineup - You could probably even announce that Metroid Prime 4 will be the launch title and use that game as the example/tech demo of how much better Switch 2 is than Switch 1 - hardware wise.
You do the presentation - Reveal the release date (I say it's early September) - Prime 4 is the launch title, and then the next 3D Mario is late October and the next Mario Kart is late November.
