Just Finished: Grand Theft Auto III HD (as part of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition) (PS5)

A revolutionary game in every sense of the word. I had played the game when it came out on the PS2 but I never played through the story, I just went around causing chaos. I bought the entire trilogy recently so I can properly play through the campaigns. GTA III has strong production values for its time with many seasoned actors playing the characters. The updated graphics look like plastic. The gameplay is still fun, with a great sense of freedom in how to complete most missions. The game's controls are DOOOOOOOOG SHIIIIIIIT! The music is pretty good but you start to realize that there are only a few tracks in the game. The game took me about 14 hours to complete, which felt satisfying though as I child I thought the game seemed much longer. The writing is pretty clever too, especially the radio audio. The only GTA games I have played through before are GTA V and Liberty City Stories. I will play through the rest of the 3D games and hopefully GTA VI will finally release in the meantime.
