So seems like Lego Horizon has scored around the 7/10 range.

Based on what I've read it seems to be what I thought it was going to be. I really wish they went for a gameplay loop similar to Minecraft Dungeon in regard to level randomizing plus ever-increasing level caps. But I suppose that is something they can look into if they do a 2nd game, which I hope they do.

That said, I'll def get it on discount: I don't need it right now to play with my kid. They're too enthralled by Tren (Dreams) so I'm fine with that.

I looked at some videos and I really loved Aloy being more cheerful on that game, made me happy to be honest.

But the game does look quite linear and easy, I suppose it's good for kids and they are the core target for it, but being one of Sony's biggest IPs the audience for the IP would understandbily expect quite a bit more from it. Even more as a full price game.

Kind of a sticky situation to expect both to accept it well as it is, should get a decent price cut and put a big focus to reach the younger lego audience, fully embracing the niche.
