Well, we don't know how much the ratio is compared to digital sales, which were pretty much non-existant on the DS and 3DS. It's possible that physical + digital sales taken together would amount to something more akin to Dream Team or even, if unlikely, Partners In Time in terms of sales.

You make a good point. No idea how it slipped my mind that digital sales are not included here. So, Brothership could be as high as third best seller? Not bad. The drop in Mario RPG sales, however, is a little bit shocking: SMRPG sell 330k physical during JP launch, TTYD sells 150k physical during JP launch, and M&L sells 60k physical during JP launch. That's more than -80% difference from 12m ago.

SMRPG was a cult classic that has been on several all-time best games lists and has been massively beautified and enhanced, TTYD is a cult classic that had been beautified and enhanced, and Brothership is mostly more of the same in the Mario & Luigi series. I was much more stoked for the first two than I was for the last one from the get-go due to this. I'm actually much more shocked that TTYD sold less than half than SMRPG in retail than with the sales performance of Brothership.
