Some really interesting data coming. Gen Z voted for Trump in it's majority, something I would never expect to see. It seems they are not as liberal as progressive as some would say. Also it seems while trump votes are not that far from 2020 and 2016, there were 15 million votes less for Harris compared to Biden. Thats crazy.

He didn't, although he managed to swing them a bit vs. the last election. Bush 2000 is still the most recent Republican to win the youth vote.

I'm more surprised by the Gen Y tie since that used to be strongly pro-Obama in the past. Gen X has lead in their brains so the gap is expected and the older votes swung a bit toward Harris, suggesting the economy did play a strong role in the results.

Gen Y has a why problem, like why vote? I know a lot of people my age who don't bother voting. I never have. Not once. Some of my friends and I, seriously might just vote next election (Canada), because if you give Gen Y enough of a reason, they will at least seriously think about it.

In 2016, none of my family or friends thought Trump had a chance and was a joke in the US election. I was the only one who thought he very well may have a chance. Now, about half of them either don't mind Trump and/or just can't stand what the Dems have become.

If our next election was right now (probably a year away yet), Trudeau and the Liberals would lose way worse than the Dems just did. Way worse, like how they lost party status in Ontario not long ago because they lost so bad. The odds this changes in a years time are low. Trudeau has very similar problems as Harris had.

I also thought Trudeau was the right choice in 2015 and that it was great that we finally got rid of Harper and the Conservatives. I eventually realized it was a mistake, but really didn't know jack about politics back then. Trudeau's leadership, or lack of, plus Trumps 2016 campaign, is what got me paying much more attention to politics and actually researching things myself and thinking things through, instead of just listening to the media.
