Man the Switch selling 2.62 Million this quarter was way more than I expected. I expected the Switch to actually fall just short of 2 Million this quarter but the Switch sales barely dropped compared to last year only 10%. It's absolutely mind-blowing that the Switch is still selling this well in it's 8th year and not showing any signs of major saturation. It's now at 146 Million instead of the 145 Million expected with no signs of slowing down.
While I was already almost sure the Switch would surpass the DS in sales before this, this quarter being much higher than expected pretty much 100% confirms for me that the Switch will outsell the DS. Zero chance it somehow falls short of the DS. Outselling PS2's 159 Million is increasingly more likely than not as well.
