Switch's primary competition was the Xbox One and Playstation 4. - They are the same generation of hardware and graphical feature sets.

Gameboy came out in 1989, there is no way it gets paired up with the Nintendo 64 which came out in 1996... I was using the Gameboy alongside the SNES with the Gameboy adapter before the Nintendo 64 was even a mention in magazines.

Basically you have fluffed with the hierarchy.

You may have a point on Gameboy, but you put yourself nowhere better than OP by arbitrary labeling Switch as 8 Gen:

Many new generation consoles have competed with previous gen before the release of their generation counterparts. Ex: Dreamcast and X360

You talk about graphical capabilities yet put Wii and Wii U respectively as 7 and 8 gen consoles.

Also, Switch 2 as 9gen? My God, you are really consistent in not trying to make sense

An open letter for y'all that insist in keeping Switch out of this generation, despite this thing still selling well and receiving the current software support from its developer for 4 years since their generation counterparts release and going towards 5 years without its successor release:

Your poor reasoning is only held by a misstep on Wii U ideal trajectory, so if Nintendo managed to hold Wii U for at least one year more before the transition to Switch, this baloney wold be blown

Yeah, I know... 3rd gen below was all messed yada yada, but let's just not bring it back now when everything got so organized. So whatever agenda you are behind to keep this crap, just drop it. Ty
