There is only one answer: F-Zero.

I'll explain: they got a futuristic racing game that, 30+ years after its release, has gameplay SO GOOD that people are now playing the 99 version like, a lot! It is pretty much the same gameplay for the machines that it was in 1991, with minor tweaks, something that, to me, is close to unbelievable! The latest anniversary update to F-Zero99 is insane as far as content is concerned, and the gameplay is still so robust that it feels we are playing a modern creation.

If it keeps up it might help give us a brand new F-Zero.
