They could re-release it for a 10th year anniversary sake in 2027, but I'm not expecting them to actually do it because they likely have other projects to focus on + I'd think a re-release should warrant more changes than just an fps and resolution increase to be a valid one. Maybe there's a way to upgrade like Sony does with it's remasters from last gen. 10 bucks wouldn't be too hard of an ask. Also that Pokemon movie scripts sound quite the thing ... But you know considering it has been in development hell for a while, an eventual final product would likely be different than this script. |
Nintendo charging $10 for upgrades!? lol
I've been wondering when we'll see another Pokemon movie and had a feeling it wouldnt include any previous characters.

Using the name of the script protagonist wouldn't work to lampshade what we don't need as a older aimed movie. 'Pokemon Reign' doesn't quite have the same ring to it, nor does Ash have radioactive semen to give his love interest cancer with, for another edgy what-if future story comparison. |
I'm....not sure what you are talking about. I get the Logan/Wolverine and Spider-man references but have no idea what that has to do with Pokemon or Ash.
The new movie that they are making is based upon new characters just like what they did with the anime, Pokemon Horizons, which has a new cast of characters that have no relationship to any of the characters in the previous pokemon anime.
If you are talking about how dark it is? Its nothing new, TPC had made Pokemon dark before with the manga - https://gamerant.com/pokemon-manga-disturbing-moments/
And even if Gamefreak doesnt make the games darker, the pokedex entries showcase a dark side of some of the pokemon in some of the games.
Anyways if they do bring Ash back, he's likely going to be the same 10 year old since the creators of the Pokemon anime series dont like to age their characters.
