Capcom survey on reviving dormant IPs

Actually Nintendo did put out a survey about Mario games some time ago. Been ages, but that did happen. Brothership happened. 

That did only apply, I believe, to Mario RPGS though, so Star Tropics, Wave Racer, F-Zero, and others probably still need an executive champion, or in the case of something like Famicom Detective Club, someone to poke the Metroid Guy to take that extra step to make it happen. 

What's something fans can do to encourage such things to happen more often?
