So, I played the first Horizon, and liked it well enough. I didnt really like the combat until the end when you could unlock the suit that tanked almost all damage, but I finally felt like I figured out how you were supposed to play it that whole time, as opposed to running away and firing back at the dinos, which felt kind of...stupid.
I got the VR game and enjoyed it well enough. It was a nice distraction.
But then this gen on PS5...I starting playing forbidden west, and after the beginning 5 hours when you can see the size of the map.... I had just gotten done playing Elden Ring and I was just like "This is too big, there are too many points of interest, this feels like work." I didn't last much longer and gave up on it. The DLC was more I wasnt interested in. Now a Lego Horizon game. And a remaster of the first game. I feel like that studio is just completely gung ho about Aloy and nothing but Aloy. Would've loved a Killzone 2 remaster or a new entry in the franchise (tho i really didnt like the last one they made...Shadow something I think.) Or something new. Any rumors about them doing anything non-Horizon related? |
Forbidden West is Zero Dawn but better at every aspect except story.
Forbidden West have pretty great lore too, tho.
