This could just be me, but I find I'm not a big fan of the giant open quote response tables. Sometimes I try to add "spoiler" tags to minimize/collapse them so people don't have to skip down past a long quote of a post they just read above, just to read my silly little 1-3 line quip. But, I end up mangling the post beyond repair (1 part due to auto-select, and another part due to my lack of competency when dealing with that!).

PROPOSED SOLUTION

A post longer than 6 lines will collapse everything below that line, with the text "click to expand..." at the bottom in centre-justified colour-coded font that will expand the whole quote when clicked.

A Crazy Storyteller Wrote:

The quick lazy fox
chased the silly cat and
upset the dog, which then chased the fox
but the cat had rabies
and the fox and dog ended up infected
So when the unwitting owner of the dog brought him inside

Perhaps tighten the "Click to expand" closer to the dimming text, maybe even overlapping a little. And the dimming text, instead of a flat grey, can have a gradient. When expanded, the post can be seen in full. And imagine the post frame is tighter at the bottom as well.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
