The thing to remember with recommended specs for games is that console-specific optimizations can go a long way.

The Switch for example is way below the minimum/recommended specs for stuff like Doom Eternal, Hogwarts Legacy, or Kingdom Come Deliverance, yet it got ports of them anyway.

Of course.  Heck street fighter 2 is on the NES.  Ports are a function of time, money and effort.  I've been gaming a long time and I have owned over 17 systems.  Point being this entire conversation has been unnecessarily complex.  Let me simplify my position.

1) the more different hardware is, the more effort required for porting

2) the more effort required, the more likely some developers won't bother

And this logic isn't S2 specific, it has always been this way.  And literally, point 1 & 2, is all I am trying to say.  It shouldn't be controversial, given this how gaming has operated for 40 years.
