Short games can still score high but they're naturally at a disadvantage compared to longer games, provided the "quality per hour" is equalised. 9 hours of Astro campaign greatness obviously won't be as good as 16 hours of them. I still predict 92 which is quite high, and I'm not ruling out a 94, but it will be more difficult for sure. When was the last time a short AA or AAA game scored 94? |
If you mean for a game on Playstation... really dunno, maybe never? lol. Little Big Planet could be considered small, if so, that.
The thing is, which I have been saying since the PS4 released, I don't see a single Sony game getting a 95 anymore, and have been right so far, nearly 2 full gens and only a Remaster from a already 95 game (TLoU) sits at a 95 so far.
So I would be massively surprised if Astro Bot gets a 94, to me it borders the impossible, literally only God of War games did that, TLoU 2, Uncharted 4, both Horizons, both Gran Turismos, Ghost of Tsushuma, none could get that 94...
Sony games usually are the most scrutinized, only when the PS3 was doing kinda bad/mid the reviews went a bit up.
