Why make a traditional console?

Hear me out. The law of diminishing returns is real why give yourself less time to hit the graphical ceiling. If the ps6 and Xbox series is the third generation where 4k60 is still the bar they are striving for why should nintendo rush to hit that stagnation point?

This right here.  Diminishing returns has been an issue for a while now, and it's only getting worse.  Pretty soon, that gap between Nintendo and PS/XBOX will seem less and less noticeable.

Look at it this way, in 2024, The Tegra X1 is nearly a decade old. And it still results in some awesome games that look and play wonderfully. Yes, the games often have lower resolution, lower framerates, etc.  But these are still largely the same or similar game experiences.  If you go back to 1996 and play games from a decade prior, the difference is night and day. We just don't have these massive shifts in game fidelity anymore like we used to.

Long story short...Nintendo has zero reason to go back to the traditional game console. In fact, we will see other players likely shift closer to Nintendo's strategy if anything.

It would be a option like the ps4 pro or the way the switch has  traditional handheld model like  switch lite. Tegra x1 has some good looking games but so does super nes, the higher end games look like crap on it these day if we are being honest.
