Dressing up in drag for a costume or event (or even for no particular reason) doesn't necessarily indicate questions regarding gender identity.
I don't know, these types of stories are frustrating, because I so completely don't care that Vance wore a dress once. Vance hasn't been "exposed" like the thumbnail indicates. This is nothing, and making it into a big thing feels like it mostly just hurts trans and gender non-conforming people. I get that the primary criticism is around hypocrisy, but I feel like that conversation needs a careful step that "what would his drag name be" just doesn't satisfy.
