For a bunch of people it may have raised the question why someone would want to kill Trump, what could be so bad about him. That's inevitably leading to Project 2025.
This election is unique because the two candidates have had a term as POTUS already. That's why seemingly nothing is going to tip the scale in a major way. But we've seen more damage control from Trump's side over the months, where he repeatedly backpedaled on topics like abortion and right now Project 2025. Apparently he can't say whatever the hell he wants, because there's still a significant chunk of voters who can be put off. Trump's camp is clearly worried about losing a presidential election yet again.
