Agreed. No wait, I'm going to simplify it even more. Square has only ever switched who they support once, when they went from Nintendo platforms to Sony. Why did they do that? Because the CD offered them the space that they couldn't get on the cartridge for their RPG's. While they wouldn't have made the switch if the playstation was bombing, it's still more technically based than success based.
And Square is supporting the Wii. Remember, it is Square-Enix now. And I'm predicting that the Wii Dragon Quest game is going to be bigger than the PS3 Final Fantasy game in Japan.
