If we were to count modern mini- retro consoles to the total sales numbers of the original platform than the SNES sales total would be at 54.6 Million instead of 49.10M since the SNES classic sold 5.5 Million units.
I think the only way that would work is if they re-release the console with an actual disc/cartridge drive that could still play those same games natively off the disc/cartridge, which I doubt will ever happen since not many people still own games from 30 years ago
