And this happened on December, which means we have actually seen growth YoY for the last two months, so I really have no idea how you got to the conclusion that "Xbox would have declined regardless" this month. 

 

Xbox had been declining YoY for the majority of months last year. It's easy to nitpick certain regions/months to make it seem that Xbox wasn't in decline, but overall it clearly was. And I already explained that this February's decline, in the UK/EU especially, can be attributed to Hogwarts Legacy, 2023's biggest game. Another factor is Helldivers 2 and to a smaller extent FF7Rebirth putting the spotlight on Playstation.
