There is always the chance that the live-action adaptation could turn out terrible, but it's not like it's going to make the original worse. Worst case scenario, it's utter trash that gets canned after one season and the original show keeps aging like fine wine as it always has. It'll always be there whenever I want to watch it.
But if it turns out to be good... THAT'S what I'm really hopeful for. Because then there's no telling where the series can grow from there.
