Better late than never as the saying goes. It's on record that Xbox almost went under during the Xbox one and instead of Phil giving up, they decide to go the other direction. It could always be a lot worse, like no Xbox at all.

You asked, when was the last critically acclaimed game. Hifi Rush meets this standard. If you played it, you would know this. Just because its no Spiderman or Mario in sales doesn't negate this fact. If you want Xbox to release a top seller, Starfield already did this. I guess this doesn't count because it's not critically acclaimed enough. At least Xbox is releasing new IPs. Something I hear Xbox doesn't do enough, but when they do and they are good, no one has nothing to say now. Goal post changing always seems to happen. Wonder why.

It's not about goalposts set by me, the simple fact is these games are not getting the job done. Xbox needs killer apps and these games don't make the grade.

It is goalposts changing lol. You initially said, Xbox hasn't released a critically acclaimed game since 2021. When I point out they have from this year, you now change it to killer apps. Even though, I definitely consider Starfield a killer app. Not sure how it's not.

They do have 17 games currently in the pipeline line that we know of. How many games do we know of from Sony and Nintendo? Just looking at the lineup, I'm way more excited by what Xbox has from their 1st party than Sony and Nintendo.
