2017, Game of the Year

The year of years. Without even counting the late masterpiece that is Persona 5 I might still consider it gaming's greatest with 4 titles high on my top 50 games ever. But of course one game completely stole the show and also managed to become my personal game of the year...

Doki Doki Literature Club.

Seriously. That's the one. I really like poems. Ah, and Breath of the Wild was pretty good too. My top 5 for year:

1. Doki Doki Literature Club!
2. Breath of the Wild
3. Super Mario Odyssey
4. NieR: Automata
5. Metroid: Samus Returns

And since this year is so good I'll also need to make several honorable mentions: Horizon Zero Dawn, Hollow Knight, Uncharted: Lost Legacy, Dragon Quest XI and What Remains of Edith Finch.
