Will the Switch's successor outsell the original Switch?

Now, to compensate my derailing, here is my wild and totally ignorant guess:

Nintendo will fix all the problems that had with Switch and make the most desirable hybrid console out of it, plus their growth in software development and brand presence will help to get the system to the masses, possibly matching or surpassing the Switch.

With all that said, we are also probably looking for another software killer, comparable to what the sports/fit franchise did to wii

What would this software killer need in order to be a software killer. I was thinking maybe Mario Kart X. Or would it be a something that comes from the Experimental Department?

Something that pulls a huge audience, specially the ones that are not into videogame in the slightly. So yeah, Experimental Department
