I think the Switch 2 can do even better. Most of you forget that the Switch is a combination of Nintendo's Handheld and Console lines. It selling 150M or even 160M is poor given that almost 250M people bought Nintendo consoles in the Wii and DS era.

What would Nintendo need to sell more consoles is a very difficult question, but I am sure they are asking themselves that exact question, as they are a business and are always looking for ways to increase their bottom line. I believe Nintendo mentioned that they are building studios rather than buying them. What would they need to increase their marketshare? They need to attract more people. How do they do that? By releasing hardware features and games that attract all crowds without scaring others away.

I don't know how they will do this, but one thing we know for sure, they will make their next console have everything the Switch had, all the while trying to have some parity with the other consoles out there, with some technological magic. We know about DLSS and that Nintendo will be aggressive with its hardware next gen. Will they be able to have games like Final Fantasy on their next console, something tells me they are heading for that.

And so, the chances of them building on their current success and then going for more audiences look always greater as more information appears. And it's their history that proves that as well. Time will tell, I am betting for a slightly better sales performance as Nintendo refines its new direction.

To be able to play all types of games on the go remains a big feature for the device family.
