I'm going to go with Shadow of the Colossus. While the controls were iffy and my hands were sore after each battle (an issue resolved in the PS4 remaster), it was a beautiful game, and it was a challenge to figure out how to defeat each of the colossi. The way it told its story was great as well.
Now, I never played RE4, which is likely to take this one. The main reason is that I never liked tank controls. They were always bad, an unfortunate consequence of trying to develop controls for a 3D game on a system whose controller was basically a modified SNES gamepad. The controls are why I never bothered with the series again after RE2 until the recent remakes of RE2 & RE3 were released (and they were amazing).
I did play COD2 on the 360, and it was okay for its time, but nothing I'd consider worthy of being even in my Top 100 of all-time. Good enough for a 360 launch window that was short on really good games.
