I think a month is a relatively long time. You don't want to see a sales drop because people are waiting for the slim model. I looked at Xbox, and it's more common to release the same week as announced than it is to be more than a month in advance. Yeah, but I still think there will be another massive internal changes for a new model next year, together with the Pro.
I guess we do should consider it the Slim and if my prediction is right that would be a Super Slim case, the thing is, a Slim model not being cheaper... just doesn't sound right to me, even more as the internal changes have come before it and not with it.
