Trump: Shut the government down to avenge me.
Republicans: We're shutting down the government.
Speaker McCarthy: I'm now launching an impeachment inquiry without a vote so we can get revenge for Trump.
Still forced to rely on Democratic votes to avoid shutdown anyway.
Speaker McCarthy: Why did Democrats try to shut down the government just now?
All House Democrats and 8 Republicans vote to oust McCarthy from his Speakership role.
Democrats: YaY, we did it! We stopped the impeachment inquiry and the insults!
Five minutes transpire, during which the likelihood of getting a more extreme replacement Speaker dawns on them.
Democrats now: The Republicans just voted to oust their own Speaker because he wouldn't shut down the government! What does that say about their party's sobriety?
Trump: I'm endorsing far rightist Jim Jordan for the Speakership.
Future: Republicans choose far rightist Jim Jordan as their new House Speaker. Government shutdown happens. Revenge is achieved and everyone lives stupidly ever after.
