Yeah, well thats my point. If its just another more powerful Switch with an added gimmick it wont do as well. Also Iphone has a way bigger core fanbase than Nintendo consoles has. The Wii U pretty much represents the Nintendo core gamers.

Wii U represent Nintendo home console core gamers and even barely, because the system was very short lived and lacking system sellers (No 3D Mario, no 3D Zelda). Nintendo has a huge fanbase on handheld side. Animal Crossing e Pokemon fanbases are humongous and they will make a presence on Switch 2 or whatever it's called. 30 to 40 million is more representative of the size of Nintendo fanbase. Remember being a Nintendo fan is primarily being a fan of their IPs, if there is no such IPs there is no fanbase. The average Pokemon fan don't care if the system is called Switch 2, Super or Ultra they just want to play the new Pokemon game

Switch 2 won't sell as much as standard Switch and this is not a problem by any means. The only way to repeat original Switch sales is having a new tec to satisfy a market that don't exist yet. It can happen, but at risk of them alienating part of Switch userbase so the sales being bigger than original Switch are not guaranteed by any means. Will they do that? I dunno, let's see

I dont know what you are arguing now? I never said the next Nintendo console wont do great if they call it the Switch 2. And you seem to think the same. I just think it will do better with a new name instead of Switch 2. Not saying it will fail with that name or anything.

I can make another extreme comparison. What if the next Nintendo console is called the Nintendo Focus? It would probably do well if its a good product, right? Now imagine the same product, but they call it the Nintendo Cancer. You think it would do better or the same? Probably not because people have a negative association with the word cancer. Just like some have a negative association with the word Switch now if they dislike the Switch. Theres probably not that many of them since the Switch seems to be very beloved. I know I love mine. I just think the roof has already been hit with the Switch name.

Im just saying names matter. But of course they are not the only thing that matters.
