All figures are official and come from Sony Interactive Entertainment's internal estimates.
Apart from the estimate of 4.10 million for the last fiscal year (FY2012), in which year Sony spoke of a drop in sales for the PS3 but made no comment about the PS2, which must have been either stable or slightly up on the year before, so 4.10 is a minimum for that year.
