Octopath 2 is better. Graphics, story, gameplay. Everything is a improvement over the first one
The job system is really good and make you experiment a lot with builds. We have good weaponry that matches specific builds to maximize results. The amount of stats and buffs make the battles really neat and put combat system of games like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest to shame. In Dragon Quest XI you can literally just spam your favorite attack without putting much though over it and rush the 100 hours of the game without much thinking. Try this with a mid to late game boss in Octopath and be prepared to be decimated.
