40M in two years and 8 months is great. I think the PS4 did 40M in 2 years and 6 months, so PS5 is gaining ground.
If demand stays strong it should pass the PS4 sometime this year. Though I will say that this year isn't the strongest for PS5 software wise, so hopefully they can keep the momentum.
