PlayStation 4's primary competitor, Xbox One, was discontinued right around the time Xbox Series S/X launched. However, we didn't get that confirmation until January 2022.

It is abundantly clear that PS4 is very much in its twilight. First-party releases have all but stopped, and hardware sales are only about a few thousand a week.

When do you think PS4 will be discontinued? For reference...

PS1 was discontinued 23 March 2006.

PS2 was discontinued 4 January 2013.

PS3 was discontinued in EU/AU March 2016, NA October 2016, and Japan 29 May 2017.
