Isn't it funny that the people claiming the is an agenda are the one's who don't have a viable counter to the argument especially as they're the ones going out their way to throw digs at others who hold different views instead of debate the point. For a start Rise did outsell World by quite a margin Rise was at 4m sold in Japan last year January and is likely around 5m today given the sales growth of the game since then as non Switch and PC versions only added like 600k in total sales meaning it has out sold World in the region by two thirds of its own sales so yes it did sell significantly better than World in Japan.

As for your XV dig lets take a reminder of that argument shall we XV was used as a counter argument to people highlighting a series decline and it was pointed out that XV is multiplatform with even a rerelease enhanced version which offset the decline the whole liking of the game was even an entirely separate debate itself on series identity but trust you to try and spin it and the kicker here is the numbers back the point in it being the exception you can't debunk that point so went the route of throwing out a dig, the whole argument isn't even Switch owners either which is the funny thing because it was an argument about an Xbox version as well with someone later suggesting a Switch successor version it's looking more a case of those who don't want that scenario are not liking and finding it hard to accept what others are pointing out.

This is shown in not just your own reply here which is more as a veiled attack but how Soundwave a person who is far from the hardcore switch fanatic someone tried to paint him had a dig aimed at him as well.

Edit: Seems like I lost my replay due to connection issues *sighs*

By the way, it wasn't a veiled attack, it was a direct attack to you. Poor Soundwave, didn't even think of him

TLDR version because I'm not typing everything again:

-The sales I've provided are from Sony alone. If you add PC it's  3,5 million as of November 2020. 3,8 lifetime likely against 5 million Rise with all platforms plus Switch is hardly groundbreaking seeing how much better World sold outside. Rest assured next MH will be made with Playstation and PC in mind

- Nobody is against the game being multiplat, indeed the user to got warning is waiting a PC release. Except maybe some Sony fanatics who don't even play FF anyways

- Prioritizing Japan won't make FF financially viable. It needs to sells more globally, not in Japan. Just like Monster Hunter

- I don't see any discussions about how to make the game presentation, gameplay and design more appealing to JP or global audiences only the same tiring argument "release on Switch and it will sell better like magic", ignoring the game just don't match JP tastes and a Switch release won't change that
