If Nintendo waits a long time for a Switch successor, what do you think will happen?

When matters in that Nintendo won't want to have a period of low revenue when their current system isn't bringing in much money any more but their next one still isn't ready yet. No point having that happen when you can avoid it.

I'm kind of assuming Nintendo is in a ready state and are building stock.  Just waiting on the right time.
