I'm shocked that the Switch is still this high in Japan YoY, selling 100k+ in 1 week on Year 7 with the Switch already having sold near 30M over there!? How hasn't the Switch reached much saturation over there yet?
I expected the boost for Zelda to be there for like 2 weeks but then return to normal since Japan isn't huge into Zelda like other regions and I figured that most people who were into TOTK most likely already own a Switch considering the fact that it already sold nearly 30M there and it's damn near the bestselling console ever in Japan.
But wow did not expect the Switch sales boost to be up nearly 100% YOY weekly a month after TOTK released. Maybe the Mario movie did add an extra boost in hardware, hard to say tho which is more responsible since the movie and TOTK released at around the same time period.
Very surprising
