Welp ... This thread was about the topic of defective day one releases seemingly being more common in the "AAA" space than usual and how looking at some devs like Nintendo has done with some flawless releases recently, this industry could learn from simply looking at their games and polish them instead doing the release broken game first, patch later mentality that has been plaguing this generation so far.

But no, let's derail this into a drifting joycon thread ...

Anywoo, I'm in all agreement over the statement that this industry really needs to get accountable to some of the bullshit releases they've put through in these recent times and it is why more informed gamer need to be careful about what you can put your bucks into.

For myself, I put my trust in Nintendo and most of it's partners to put on day one satisfying experience that isn't hindered by what western publishers incompetency have showcased in recent years.
Which is why, I don't dropping the asked price.

Although, I almost never pre-order since I know my local GameStop orders plenty copies of the games I buy in bulk so there's no FOMO need for such

I don't see it as derailing the thread at all. The joycon situation   is the similar  the what  OP described except on a much bigger scale with hardware. The fact that they haven't even did a revision or even trying to fix after they said they would is  anti consumer and snake oil salesman on a much bigger scale. I didn't wanna make anew thread about it since this is a thread about gaming companies  doing the uninformed customer wrong.
