It would have sold about the same. PS4 sold more than usual due to covid in 2020 and less the years after. Without covid the curve would have been a bit different, but at the end of the day sales would have been about the same. Backward compatibility of PS5 didn't help either.

The supply chain crisis didn't had a big impact on PS4 sales in my opinion. Sony even increased the production of PS4 in 2021, because it was easier to produce than PS5. Sales of PS4 didn't climb, because the demand wasn't there.

PS4 pretty much already died before the launch of the successor, which is very unusual for a PlayStation console.
