No unless The Pokemon Company had a partnership with the people who made Detective Pikachu 1 for another movie or something.

But technically I dont see why Pokemon cant be in a Smash bros movie made by Illumination - its not like Pokemon is tied to one sub IP (Pokemon games, anime, TCG, and Detective Pikachu are all separate kinda like how Spider-Man is separated by comics, movies, cartoons and games).

True, and Detective Pikachu is clearly in it's own continuity.
