ITs all poltics. If the GOP party believe Trump going to jail will gavanaize the base and get them to vote then they would put him on the chopping block. If they believe this will effect turnout and lower it, they will fight tooth and nail to protect him. I am sure they are polling hard on those subjects just to see how they should go,
