Finally went and saw it, first movie I've seen at the cinema since 2021.
It was a good popcorn flick just like the first movie; it felt a little overcooked and restread a lot of ground, but it was competently put together and as a technical accomplishment it's insanely impressive how many incredibly tricky effects shots it pulls off so well, especially when so many of them involve things that are very hard to get right like complex water physics and CG elements interacting with water.
It's no Citizen Kane, but as a good old fashioned blockbuster, it delivers.
Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023. (And over 130 million lifetime)
